Pretty little cookies

If you're like me and continually look for fun things to cook and how to make them cost less and look great you're going to love this recipe 

They look like they take ten years (they don't) and came out of an artist's kitchen (they didn't) or at least contain expensive ingredients.  Nope.  Butter.   Two eggs.  Powdered sugar.   Corn starch.   Cake mix.  

Made the yellow ones with lemon cake mix.  Red ones with red velvet.   Rolled into tiny balls and baked at 350F after immersing them in the sugar and starch.  Arranged them on a plate to look like a flower.   Viola!  Looking good for Thanksgiving.
